Pretreatment That Protects the Downstream Route

Ultrafiltration is not a higher-purity substitute for RO. It is selected to manage turbidity, suspended solids, colloids and SDI before downstream membranes.

The system is configured around source-water variability, membrane protection requirements and operating-cycle strategy. Backwash, chemically enhanced backwash (CEB), CIP and recovery handling are reviewed as part of the full operating route.
